Hi all, normally I don't gripe much about Tassie because there is bugger all to winge about. On Sunday the Tasrats had their monthly ride and decided to head up to the Lake Pedder Chalet for lunch about 180 km from Hobart on one best motorcycle roads in Tassie.
On Friday our president rang and asked if we would be able to grab a feed on Sunday and was told we were most welcome. We arrived on Sunday to find the place packed with some kind of fishing contest happening. We were then told that there were no tables but we could stand in the corner and eat our meal like some mongrel dog. We told them to stick their ****ty chalet and meal where the sun doesn't shine and headed back to Maydena. We found that the little shop in Maydena where more than happy to have us there and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and put on a great feed.
My point is that if anyone is visiting from the mainland and thinking about going to Lake Pedder it is a fantastic road for bike and the views are great but avoid the Lake Pedder Chalet because if you are on a motorcycle you are a second class citzen. Also the fuel price there is way high and you will get better service in Maydena or at Westaway.
