If your looking for a good weekend way with great company and about 150 to 200 triumph owners, this is the place to go, great weather and lots of laughs.

Everything has now fallen into place and I'm locked and loaded for Valla Beach. I know some of the Sydney based RATs are planning a convoy, heading off from Sydney at the crack of dawn (see Ratbags forum), and while I would love to join them, I have to do my parental duties and drop my kid off at school on the Friday.

As a consequence, anybody here going and if so, are you interested in a 10AM start? Or maybe you know somebody who already has one planned? I'm also thinking about taking the New England route. Anybody know how much longer (time wise) I'll need to plan for this detour?

Great run is head up the highway until past Raymond Terrace and around Karuah, take the turn to Gloucester and on to Bucketts Way & Thunderbolts to Walcha and then Armidale. Great, great ride. Then head from Armidale to Ebor and Dorrigo and on down the mountain through Bellingen to Valla Beach.

Much more fun than riding the highway and only about 140kms longer (about 650kms from Sydney, the highway would be 510 or so). Allow 7 hours with stops.

Thanks for that Clinton.

If I can pick up a riding buddy at VB, I'll take that route on the way home but I think I'll take the more direct route there as I will be riding alone.
