DataDot Kits

I talked to DataDot a few weeks ago regarding a special deal for Austalian members of Triumphrat.net

I am sure you all know about this product but here is the lowdown: the product is brush-on application. Comes in a canister with two warning decals, an alcoholic swab to remove any small particles of dirt before application, an applicator, a pot of 2,000 dots suspended in a UV trace adhesive and full instructions.

Once you have applied the dots to your motorcycle you will need to register on the DataDot National register. This is a simple process and step by step instructions are also included. Your motorcycle must be added to the DataDot register so it can be traced should something happen to it.

Application is fairly simple however should you drop some adhesive onto your motorcycle in a place you do not want it to go, just wipe it off with a damp cloth before the adhesive dries. It takes about 20 minutes to dry and about 24 hours to fully cure. Once fully cured it can only be removed by acid bathing or sanding the area. For this reason professional thieves avoid bikes with DataDot applied as they are never quite sure if they have removed every trace.

After application you may well qualify for a reduced premium on your insurance

The price I have negotiated for members is $100 plus $15 freight. Recommended Retail pricing for the product is $199 so we make quite a saving by buying in bulk.

Given internet security is foremost in everyones minds these days Datadot's Australian Business Manager will take the orders directly. Ed Murray can be contacted on 0427 813 658 or
emurray@datadotdna.com Just say you are a member of the Triumph RATS. Please note that he doesnt have credit card facilities so payment will need to be made by EFT or cheque, but Ed will discuss with you

Let me know if you would like any further information and check out their website on ww.dataDotDNA.com

No worries ivencent..... Got my Datadot kit three days after I sent them the cash.

Fitted my dots after I got home. Was pretty easy as it is simple to see the little blue dots in the white adhesive which is not dissimilar to the look of PVA glue. This is handy as you can be sure that they are there!

After about 5 minutes it dried clear although it had a slightly higher gloss level than the paint on my ST3. For this reason I would recommend placing them in inconspicuous areas on your bike... underside of the tank, inside of the frame and swing arm, under the seat etc etc.

I was going to post some photos but there was nothing to see... Once applied the only evidence on the bike that I could see was the warning decals. Hopefully I will never have my bike identified this way but a blue light will light these babies up and with over two thousand per application I think it would be a real pain to get rid of them all.

Pretty pleased with my investment especially once I contacted my insurer and got a 5% discount on my comprehensive.
