Triumph Servicing in Brisbane?

New to Brisbane and Rat.Net. Where can I get a major service done on my Sprint ST in Brisbane? I've been told by some fellow Triumph owners to stay away from Team Moto due to overpricing and a few horror stories, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of alternatives. Any suggestions welcome!

You`ll find him here. He has an excellent reputation among the local Triumph riders and is a nice bloke, too. He`s also very good for performance tuning/dyno stuff.

If you want an approved Triumph Dealer, ie warranty claims, efi diagnostics etc. then venture a bit further south to Moto Arena, on the Gold Coast.

I have 3 Triumphs and I get all my work done there. I have no problem recommending them.

I can`t pass comment on Teammoto`s workshop as I have never had any work done there but I have bought 2 Triumphs there in the past and it was a less than pleasant experience.

Thumbs up Cheers Lad's

Thanks,

Will be given Skip's a call on Monday!

After being stuck in the car all week due to rain, wind and storms it was great to get up to Glorious for lunch today! Bit of left over debris on the road, and that last tight left hander on the Samford Road before the Glorious T intersection has washd out something shocking - so take care!

Team Moto Virginia

I have been using Team Moto Virginia for longer than since I had a Triumph as they are also a Suzuki and KTM dealership.

I have had my bikes serviced there and the quoted price has always been adhered to. Since I have been going there I have gotten to know the sales manager Steve, parts manager Tony (formerly Mark)and the current service manager Craig and his two predecessors including Charlie who still works in the workshop.

I also know well the older tech who has worked on Triumphs most his life "Bruce". Bruce always works on my Sprint.

My experience of the Virginia's store's servicing has been that I have been honestly dealt with and never over charged. I buy a lot of tyres here and get a discount on anything I buy from this store.

Everyone knows me and always chats to me whenever I go in for anything.

I cannot speak for the other Team Moto store's as I have never used them.

If you go to Virginia for service tell them Dave Mitchell sent you and speak to Craig the w'shop manager.

I have found a lot of how you get on with a store is how you develop the relationship.

my first encounter with team moto virginia was not that pleasant even though it all got sorted in the end. i think i had a young guy (newbie?) working on my bike, it was p*ssin down when i picked it up so didnt check it over until the next morning where i found brake fluid running down the handle bar, taking the paint off my tripple clamp, there was also what i assume was brake fluid eating into the dash where it splashed onto and where they reset the clock holding in the button, must have had something on their fingers?

i then had to take it back in for replacement dash and a respray job that wasnt that great so i ended up getting it all powder coated at additional expense (as well as a couple other things.)

i also felt that for someone working on Triumphs all the time, they werent all that helpful with tech Q's i had.
Most parts ive ordered have also been a little more expensive there than from Springwood, so dont know what the deal is there! they are both team moto so why different prices ??

i have since taken my bike to LAE racing a couple times (around the corner from Team moto virginia, Alex seems to know his stuff especially dyno, but Skips Performance is my next point of visit as i have heard nothing but praise so far
(hoping this plug might get me some extra special service !!! )

I've had dealings with Team moto at Springwood, and while I have had dramas, it has been addressed with management and they have apparently picked up the game. I live northside so I'll be going to Virginia for the next major. They seem very professional. (I am a mechanic, so therefore I do the minor servicing)
