Haigsleigh bike museum in Qld

This is worth a ride to look at if your out this way.

It's about 15 mins from my place in Ipswich and I'd never been out there until today . The really stupid bloody thing is I didn't take my camera .

Those that have been will no doubt agree that it's $15 well spent IMHO .

We`ve done a RAT ride out there from the Gold Coast, if you take a group, they will put on a free sausage sizzle, which makes it more worthwhile.

I wasn`t all that that impressed with the museum, it`s more of an individual`s collection. The owner has eclectic tastes and IMHO, half the stuff there is sub $1000 ebay tat. A 1995 GSXR 750 might be legendary to some but it`s just another old jap sh*tter to me. The modern Vincents and the Bimotas make up for all the 80`s and 90`s jap rubbish there, though.

The National Motorcycle Museum in Nabiac, is 1000 times better and the entry fee is cheaper.

i enjoyed it myself, even bought my bonneville off him , nice bloke, as i also like other brands i really had a good time, i wouldnt think thered be to many $1000 ebay specimans there though. some of those old jap sh#tters cost an arm and a leg in the condition there in, did you see the old triumph still in its crate, ? i will admit though $15 to get in is a bit rich., ken

I have been a few times and I don't mind it. Plenty of bikes and yes they aren't all rare or pristine but isn't that half the enjoyment. Anyway it is always a good excuse for a ride out there to get a free coffee.
