G'day guys,

just wondering what the general concensus is on "Imported "Triumphs" here in Australia.

I may have an opportunity to by an Imported Speedy. You're probably asking why I'd bother when they sell them here, but the truth is it's a colour I like and there's no others reasonably priced at the moment.

Now....I'm no stranger to imported Vehicles, having brought a Dodge Charger in myself, and recently selling a 2009 Softail I imported myself. The thing is though, when it came time to sell the Softail, everyone was saying how harley dealers wouldn't accept them as trade ins, and people were worried about so-called problems with imports......what's the thoughts on an imported Trumpy ? To be honest I wouldn't have thought it would have been worth doing, but apparently I'm wrong.

No Idea, but my only concern would be how hard would it to get it registered and of course warranty issues ?

I'm a qualified spray painter by trade, (but don’t do it for a living) have done a few motorbikes an the side, really not much involved to paint it (and any other motorbike) a colour you like.

Yourself being a spray painter... Is cleaning a Matte Black finish on a bike, just the same as gloss black?? If you get a mark, etc, do you simply polish it out?
