Bored In Dullsville
Hi all. I am wondering if anything at all happens around Perth? Maybe Im looking in the wrong places, but anything that gets organised seems to be cancelled for some reason or other. Any other brand of bike or club seems to be catered for, but Trumpies?.Also, can anyone recommend a decent route to tavel 2up? Maybe a 100km trip, stop for a light meal, Buttrest, and a leisurely cruise back through the hills midmorning. Running out of time, starting to get a bit chilly on the fingers. Any help/info greatly appreciated, cheers. P.S. Hope Im in the right thread.

No worries mate, I make my own as well. Just a different road every now and then, without a deadend to look forward to.

Have you done Toodyay and York. They're both pretty good rides.
Also I go through Byford up Nettleton rd to Jarrahdale then across to Albany hwy and back through Armadale. Good stops along the way are Jarradale Tavern or Narrogin Inn.
Have you checked out the JCS motorcycle page? There have been a couple of rides already this year and I think the next one is on ANZAC day to the York cafe.

might have to look into it when im home, never been to york and have always wanted to.
ive always considered heading east/NE to be a bit boring, thats not based on personal experience, so ill have to step out of the box and take a look.
if anyone is interested in say late april, for lunch out that way, id be keen

Good idea Trumpie. Havent been to either toodyay or york in donkeys, and never on a bike. I used to tarp the wheatbins around there, and seem to remember decent roads, friendly locals, yummy food and drink, so thats definitely on the agenda. Lately, ive been taking the kids for short trips to the dams(canning, churchmans brook, mundaring, etc), or jollying through chittering. They love that, lots of animals to look at. Lil buggers must have super sensitive hearing, no sooner have i pulled a boot on than one of ems standin there givin me the ole bigeyes. Anyway, Ill checkout jcs site. Mufasa, work and missus permitting, lets ride.

I go Toodyay/Northam/York/Beverley and even Brookton regularly. Not on the same day. Although York/Beverley/Brookton is a good day ride.
A favourite ride is to Toodyay via Chittering Brook Rd Bullsbrook, stop at the Cola Cafe for brekky and back to Perth via Toodyay Rd and making a side trip via Berry Rd/Obrien Rd. You can pay your respects to Brocky on the way through.
In fact next Saturday 27/03 I thought I'd take a ride to Brookton via Kelmscott as there's a vintage vehicle display on. I'll come home via Beverley/York.

Let's see if we can hook up for the ANZAC day run up to York.
They haven't posted a departure time yet from the Gull next to JCS but I guess it will be midday or afternoon so we can attend dawn services etc.
