I hate this attitude in dealerships, I really do. This is why some dealers thrive and others go bust.
Triumph supply a "Pack Leader`s guide" this is mine, I have run the gold coast pack since 2003.
In section 2.5 about RAT events and activities, it states clearly...
"Owners of other marques may be welcome, but the event itself should have strong Triumph and RAT branding and character."
By promoting the social side of Triumph and letting all riders come on our monthly rides, we have had LOADS of Jap and other European brand riders convert to Triumph. How can you possibly promote the social side of Triumph if you don`t let other brands come along on rides?
It sounds like your dealer doesn`t want to make sales and isn`t concerned about alienating his existing customers. It won`t cost him anything to run a ride once a month or even bi-monthly, other than a tank of petrol and dragging his lazy arse out of bed on a sunday morning.
I run a ride on the first sunday of every month, with anywhere from 15 to 40 bikes turning up depending on the weather. Usually 30% of them are other brands. Moto Arena, our local Triumph dealer, open the shop from 7.30 to 8am on the sunday of the ride and put on free coffee. This is possibly why they are always in the top 3 Triumph dealers in Australia for sales, despite not being located in a State capital.
PM me and I`ll email you the Pack Guide.
