A new SE Qld Rat
Hello fellow Triumph riders,
Well I pulled the trigger on a 2008 graphite Sprint ST today. Got my bike valued and ended paying $14 700 (retail) on a new 2008. Not sure if people have got better prices than that on the left-over 08's, but I ended up with a good deal on my trade in, a 2007 Suzuki M109R with 32 000kms on the clock ($4700 change-over). It had some slight blemishes and such so fairly reasonable trade in the end...
So on with the customising. Ordered the Triumph top box and rack. I told the guy not to bother with fitting the rack or box, and I would do that myself. He looked surprised so I told him "It will help me to get to know the bike a little". Nothing like getting a new bike home and pulling it straight apart. he he he....
Will also have to fit my StarCom intercom before the speed limiting device attached to the pillion seat comes on the bike. Grin
And then heated grips because I am a sook. Put some on the M109 before doing the Oxley last August (holy crap, that was cold!!!!!) and will most probably put a set on any bike I own. Well, except my dodgy 50cc Chinese scooter. It can barely run it's headlights...
Guess that is enough waffling. Look forward to catching up a group ride sometime.
