North Carolina Mountain Cabin for rent...

We have a great cabin with a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Parkway in a gated community in the North Carolina Highlands. The motorcycle riding up here is awesome! It is in a quiet area where the development has not reached much yet. MUCH less traffic than around the Dragon, and extremely twisty. The Snake, Hwy 421, is not far away, and make a part of a great day ride loop. I'll be glad to give you some route tips. I gave up on the Dragon after riding up here...

The cabin is located on a ridgetop with excellent views. Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are all near by. You can see awesome sunsets off the back deck, hike around an 80 foot waterfall, or fish in a community pond (the kids love this). You can also ride ATVs on the 120 miles of trails on the grounds of the community, or just hang out and swap tales around the outdoor fire pit or indoor fire place. For those not into riding, the local shopping is great, there are lots of artisans in the Blowing Rock area. You can also tour the regional wineries, as NC is starting re-build a great network of them.

Visit our web site for more pictures and availability info: http://www.highlandmountaincabin.com

The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area with seating for 8, a living room with wood burning fireplace & TV/DVD, a sleeper sofa, and a bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom with tub/shower. There is access to the back deck and porch, both complete with rocking chairs. The top floor is the master suite with a queen size bed, bathroom with tub/shower, double futon and computer desk with high-speed DSL internet access. Downstairs we have two single beds, a family room with TV/DVD, futon, laundry facilities and a bathroom with shower.

Price is $135 per night, with a two night minimum. State tax and an $80 cleaning fee are also required. Much better than a hotel!!! At slower times of the year, we can offer discounts. Renters must sign a rental agreement. Rental dates are subject to availablity, as listed on our web site. A $150 security deposit is required, which will be refunded within one week after rental if conditions are met.

Local Activities / Ammenities besides motorcycling (on site and nearby):
Theme Park (Amusement Park), Shopping, Sightseeing, Restaurants, Rafting, Kayaking, Boating, Biking, Mountain Biking, Downhill/Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Sledding/Tubing, Wildlife Viewing, Hiking, Fishing, Hunting, Antiquing, Wineries
