Not what I was hoping for

When I first heard about a new Thunderbird, I wanted it to be a speed triple engine and transmission in a cruiser body with top shelf suspension. I will have to wait and see about this version.

2010 Thunderbird

This bike doesn't excite me like I thought it would. Nothing about it makes it stand out in the crowd. I wish Triumph had kept there traditional tank styling on this one. based on the present looks of the bike I wouldn't consider a change.

Wait for the next train

I'll wait, they'll bring out a Bonnie style version sooner or later, its all the dealers talk about round here [they admit that the present offering is a sacrifice to the USA market - they lament that the bike is not a Bonnie style one because all the feedback they get from clients is that they would buy one but.........and they know that they could sell heaps of 'new' Bonnies]. The factory has to listen sooner or later and all us grumble bums will get what we are waiting for.

Plus you don't invest heavily in a completely new product and then not make use of the market.

Nonsense, this bike is a sacrifice to JB's ego. The US market is already bloated with large displacement, water cooled bikes, and they are highly regarded by the buying public.
