Wrong information. The Thunderbird 1600 will be launched only in September 2009 for the 2010 model range.

What a disappointment.

Let's see: long rectangular radiator up front a la Suzuki Intruder, blobby-blingy chrome rear fender holders lifted from a late 90's Kawi, whateverburger saddle from a Honda cruiser circa 1995, Yamaha Virago wheels, exhaust courtesy J.C. Whitney...
Truly: could a more bland copy of a Japanese cruiser-trying-to-imitate-a-Harley have been crafted? I'm astonished at the complete abandonment of design sense. The upright twin simply doesn't give this bike a distinctive-enough look to have given up everywhere else. Not since the Adventurer of '96 (ridiculously overstyled) has there been such a major styling misfire as with the new Thunderbird (ridiculously understyled). Sad day for the Thunderbird name.

Just from the picture, I like the new T-Bird. Will reserve final judgement for aftter seeing one up close and in person...and a test ride.

Big twin, big disappointment

Sorry you've lost me, there is no classic in that design.

A poor copy of a copy of a copy................

I don't know...

T-Bird looks like an old Honda Night Hawk, only bigger. If it has 360' engine it won't even sound like like a Harley. (if thats the market)

Unhappy Triumphs New Harley Clone

New 2010 Triumph Thunderbird looks like a 900/1000 Kawasaki Eliminator including the engine. Neat! Have never seen a Triumph with the only gauge on the fuel tank. Rear tire is to wide taking away from handling? The mirrors look absolutely the same as a buddy's 1200 Sportster. Another rider was over tonight who has a Suzuki Intruder. Look like an Intruder radiator and surrounding moulding. Wonder what the weight is?

i love Triumphs, but in all honesty, i'd rather look at pics of the new Beemer instead of this. looks cheesy.
