Re: 2008 Sprint ST Updates
Would be nice to think that Triumph would offer to replace the crap headlight on the older models as a gesture of good will !!!!!!!

I'm looking to replace my 1050 Sprint ST in the near future after experiencing a number of issues with the bike, none of those I'm looking at buying are made by Triumph.

Great bike let down by some cheap and nasty parts with very little the line of customer care from the organisation.

Steel tanks on 2008 sprint
Too Bad, Triumph steel tanks rust. With modern gas they need to be coated from the factory or be composite.

Good Luck

Really? There's a rust issue? I held out for an '08 just for the metal tank. Do '06's have corrosion problems?

All the Bonnies have steel tanks. Sure have never read of any rust issues with them.

I was told by two local dealers the 08s would be in this month.

08 Sprint delivery date?
Well, early to mid March is also what the dealer here in San Antonio, Tx
told me. I guess I just have to wait a bit longer

I have two on order. The red one will be here end of this week of beginning of next week. The blue are not in the states yet but are on a ship right now coming so it will be 2-3 weeks for delivery.

2008 ST....head light improvement
I spoke to the U.S. H.Q. Triumph rep. today who informed me the only change to the '08 ST projector lamp design (if you really want to call it a design change...highly questionable)...is going to be a different bulb. I'm not to sure about how much that is going to help with the dramatic cut off of light on those dark streets in the twisties. So will be interested to hear what new owners have to say...especially if they got off a '05 - '07 model to then try the '08.
