The New Street Triple Forum is Open

After some degree of user feedback, I believe the new Triumph 675 Street Triple will become a bike with a following of it's own and have opened a new Forum For it.

Welshrob, Will, and myself will support it as Moderators for now.

Tiger forum

How about a new forum for the 1050 Tiger and beyond? After spending a couple of months reading the Tiger forum I believe there is difference in followers. Too much “the old tiger is better” or “the new tiger is better”. They are two totally different bikes and trying to compare them is like trying to compare a Honda Goldwing with a Suzuki DR. They are two different bikes that are better at doing different things. I think two different forums would be appropriate.
What does someone else think?
Shawn, should I post this elsewhere?

It's Ok, you can suggest it in either the Tiger Forum or Site Happenings Forum.

When the Daytona 675 was introduced, I suggested a new and seperate forum for it since it shared nothing in terms of engine architecture with the other "supersport" bikes. It seems to me that part of the reason why triumph675.net has been so successful is that owners don't have to wade through posts about 4 cylinder bikes that share nothing other than a "category" label.

At the time I made that suggestion, no one in charge seemed to share that position and therefore a new forum was never started.

This site is great and I still come here, but mostly for RAT stuff. I try to post info here about the Daytona 675, but there is very little response. I believe it is because owners don't care to wade through the other information to find stuff about the 675.

It seems to me that all 675's should be in this "new" forum and I think this might go a long way to bring some Daytona 675 riders back into the TriumphRAT.net fold...

Respectfully submitted,
TripleThreat

The initial reason why there wasn't a completely separate forum for each 6-series Daytona was related to the rapid change the model underwent. I decided not to immediately follow each iteration, even though I myself am an avid fan of practically any Triumph Daytona. Several other model-specific websites have come and gone using that strategy.

Today, the Daytona675 is a motorcycle with a significant following, and I'm willing to create a forum for it. The new TriumphRat.Net can also support whatever sub-forums the community wishes to have.

I'll need to talk to the moderator team, but we'll probably need to bring in an additional moderator to help.

Shawn,

If I can be of any help, please let me know. Depending on the time commitment of being a moderator, I might be willing to help out if you thought I could be of service. I love this site and want to see it continue to flourish and I'm willing to do what I can to assit with that.

Not exactly true. Indy Triumph has had a black street 3 on the floor for atleast a week. They mentioned to me that a Michigan dealer has one as well, though I don't know the color on that one. Just trying to keep you honest.
