I am following threads to get a fix for alternator rattle in my legend. There are super helpful messages and some contain links to key information - but the links return me to the site home page. Jake

When the forum database was imported, links to threads inside the forum system were rendered inoperable because the "path" is no longer valid, and by default you get the home page instead. There a few issues that couldn't be avoided in the transition to the new system, and this unfortunately was one.

The search feature should be able to help you narrow down the information you need.

Can you provide the link to the thread?

It is possible that posts containing links do still exist today, but at a different URL. Try using the search feature to find what you need.

On some types of information, like the original Photo Albums, I was able to create URL-Redirection processes that provide automated links to a picture's new URL address. I have a database of roughly 29,000 URL redirects just for the pictures.

The Forum Conversion was a different issue, because in addition to the URL change all record IDs (numbers) were changed as well. I tested the forum conversion several times on a development server and came up with different results each time. Like many things on the TriumphRat.Net Conversion, I had to take a "reality check" and focus on the parts that could be converted.
