I doubt it will happen either, but I am kind of surprised to find out I'm in a cult. Do we have to wear robes? Sing to the moon? This could be fun!

Maybe not so much on the robes but a few of us have been known to wear a kilt from time to time...

Sweat, I think you missed the point.

John Bloor _is_ the prophet of the Hinckley Triumph cult. He's not worried about any other 'prophets'...

Story sounds like moto-tabloid babble. Even if Baja is serious it doesn't seem likely.

Tend to agree with your overall assessment this particular deal isn't likely at this point in time; however a privately held company is the EASIEST and SIMPLEST kind of all to "take over" if willingness exists (or can be cultivated by offering the right carrots).

Far less red tape; no resistant stockholders trying their best to queer the deal through a plethora of legal maneuvering. It would be relatively simple IF Bloor (and any other parties with interests we don't know about because it IS private) were in the mood.

Daytoncharlie you make a great point. It's taken ten years for Mr. Bloor to start seeing success w/Triumph. I still believe the company is in it's infancy and isn't ready to sell yet. At least I hope so!

I'm confused. How do you take over a company that has no stock and only one owner? Mr. Bloor may decide to sell the company to someone but I don't understand how they can takeover something that is wholly owned if that owner doesn't want to sell. I guess if triumph had large debt at some institution and that institution decided to sell that paper then pressure could be applied by the new owner of that paper. What do I know?

Then again, it could raise some very interesting possibilities:

The Triumph Gandhi, or the Bombay, or the Popadum, or how about the Triumph Tandoori.

[Apologies to all those from or having heritage in India].

This would Suck!

I Love my Triumph and this is the third one I have owned but if this happens I guess I will go to Buell or Ducati because if I wanted what everyone else had I would have bought Japanese.
