While I can certainly appreciate the advantages of a full-duty touring bike for... touring, I can't see myself riding this new Trophy on my commute. I suppose that's why I bought a Sprint rather than a touring bike.

I would love to try one of these for a 400 mile day.

I like the looks of it but think its down on power compared to what I am used too.

I would like to see if I could adapt the fairing to my beast it need more aerodynamics above 170 mph.

I will have to wait and see what can be done to increase the power and most likely the top end.

As criusers go I do appreciate the size of the Rocket even with all the extra power I have a 700 mile ride in one day is not to bad.

Now that's just sick. So that 700-mile ride, what's that take you, about 45 minutes or so (stopping for lunch, of course)???

New Trophy............they should of come up with a new name altogether, cant see much relation to the old Trophy.
If I wanted a full on touring bike maybe it would look good. To me it just looks big and heavy/complicated. My 99 1200 Trophy is more sportbike then I thought it would be,yet cruises comfortably and quietly down the road when needed.
I guess I like simpler bikes, admittedly vintage in the 99 Trophy's case.

Who ever copied the RT's shapes did a darn good job,its exact on many body lines. As to why...........
