I know shaft drive is all the rage these days, along with all kinds of expensive bling, but I'd prefer less expensive and lighter, flat seats more British looking.

Borderline?

There's nothing borderline about it. That is a motorcycle homage to BMW, bit of a pity in my opinion couldn't Triumph come up with a Triumph?. I own an RT and the heart of that bike is the boxer engine.

+1.A lost opportunity.
1215 triple in a Sprint frame is what I'd like to see.

Good looking bike, I mean really how many "NEW" totally original designs in motorcycling are left anyway? None really, unless its some freakish OCC Chopper crap that you can't actually ride.
Kudos to Triumph. And looks or not I can just about bet this thing will handle, sound and have way more grunt than the beemer........not to mention be waaaay more fun.

I'm in-market (way in-market, cash-in-hand) for something to tour on. Now I'm disappointed I missed out on that blue leftover Sprint GT Triumph Detroit had for a great OTD price. Back to used Tiger 1050's and Sprints.[/QUOTE]

I think the used market will have quiet a few used Sprints.

I like it. We'll have to wait on some road tests and reviews, but I like the looks. Of course, I once owned an R1150RT. While most people thought the 'RT was hideous, I always liked it.

I just put a deposit on an 800XC, so no new bikes for Pat this year. But in a couple of years I'll have to re-evaluate my K1200LT and possibly trade up to the Trophy.
