this is an issue when its up against:
2012 BMW R1200RT: Unladen weight, road ready, fully fuelled:580 lbs
but not against: 2012 Honda ST1300 ABS:
730 pounds (Includes all standard equipment, required fluids and full tank of fuel ready to ride.
Why is the Honda approx 20% heavier (150lbs) than the BMW? Loaded down with all the money you'd save?
I still like this Trophy as a touring bike and not, as others have mentioned, a commuter/daily.
They say prices in Jan and dealers in Sept so look for a full 14 more months of hype...
you know if I wanted a BMW I would buy a BMW, (the new)Triumph started by saying they didnt want to go head-on with anyone now they seem hell bent in building BMW clones....better , worse, diffent motor none of that matters its another BMW...I like many love my Triumph's and have done since the old days this new direction stinks.....
