Civilization's relentless destruction of nature and scenic country roads is at full throttle here in southern Louisiana: two of my favorite rides are about to have a gambling casino and two housing developments. They closed off my access to River Road 15 miles south of Baton Rouge last Friday to rip up the trees and build a divided highway...

Plenty in western Jersey. Most short but sweet.

The coast road from SF to Eureka, California is pretty good. Another road that hits the spot is Tumut to Jindabyne (Australia) in summer. I also very much like the South Island, NZ.

FCR, Uni, 813 cams, Works shocks, drilled Ricor valves, Pieman ignitor, green springs, Beringer caliper, preds, damper, brace, Corbin, custom tinware, JMC swingarm, Brembo radial M/C, oil cooler, rearsets, clip ons, tubeless rims, Acewell, T/Clamp

You folks ought to come out to Idaho and ride Hiway 12 Lewiston,Idaho to Missoula.Montana which includes Lolo Pass.Very little traffic and 200 miles of sweet sweepers following the Clearwater and Lochsa rivers.

I've been on 5 of these and they're good. However as with any "Top Ten" list, it's strictly subjective.

For those in Europe you might very well enjoy the Trollstiggen (Troll way?) road north from Gieranger fjord in Norway, if you like epic scenery and lots of hairpins. Even more on the way back down off the plateau. lots of other great roads all the way to the North. (Please excuse my spelling of Norwegian names)
