The new Bonnies appear to have a new flasher unit (earlier bikes £10, newer bikes £49 for a replacement flasher unit). When I sell my FEK's I supply a dual load flasher unit so you can run bulbs at the front and LED's at the rear but this unit won't fit the new 2012 bikes.
I don't have access to a 2012 Bonnie, does anyone have one that they can take a photo of the flasher unit, or does anyone know of a dual load flasher unit that will fit the late Bonnie?
If your bike has a VIN number beyond 521669 then the flasher relay has been changed to a 2-pin type without a ground connection and it's not interchangeable with the earlier 3-pin relay. This applies to all these models: Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Bonneville SE, Scrambler and Thruxton.
There are lots on ebay, etc for about $10. Search for 2-pin flasher relay. What we really need is a member with that sort of relay to make a note of the markings on the side, model number, etc and then the search for the correct type is easy. Better than paying £49 to the Factory.
Thanks for the info. It's a replacement to work with LED and standard bulbs that I need. I can get a two pin flasher, could I add a couple of wires and connectors to it to link up to the loom?
For anyone that is interested... I just contacted and confirmed with the folks at Kisan that the proper SignalMinder unit for these models is the SM-3.
I have a 2012 Triumph Bonneville and I took a pic of mine.
My VIN is 751xxxx and this is what mine looks like.
I verified that this is the flasher first by turning on the signals and feeling the vibration inside.
So what does this mean??
Just as a side note: my Seat Removal Allen Key is located on the other side of the bike (Right hand side). Interesting.

Don't know. The data comes from the horses mouth. Both those changes, the relay and the location of the Allen key were announced in Triumph's Tecnical News number TN131 in January 2012.
Note that the VIN numbers the Factory refers to are just the last 6 figures, like this:
The one I have is a 2 pin.
I need to find something considerably cheaper than $109 + shipping to the UK. It wiould makr my FEK's far too expensive and I do want to continue offering a plug'n'play item.
For those with the 2012+ models with 2-pin denso plug. The SM-3S apears to be the answer if you are looking for a self cancelling relay. I just ordered on and will post results
I have seen links to some aftermarket relays for as little as nine bucks, but I want to hunt down a plug and play direct replacement for the stock unit which works with LEDs. Since it was pointed out that this is a common motorcycle relay they must be out there. I have found nothing yet.
That is the one. I am fighting my urge to have a perfect plug and play, but for now I ordered one to confirm it works and see if I can make a nice simple seat for the relay. There is not a lot of room under the side cover to fasten it down.
When I get the part in I will put up a picture of how it sits in the bike. I found a matching wire harness at the electronics store if you wanted to make your own.
