Since so many questions are asked regarding handlebars, I decided to compile some pics of
various bikes/bars I've seen on the site. Hope this helps people who are interested in changing the bars on their Bonnie. Hopefully lots of people will post pics of their bars here.

I'll get us started:

Norman Hyde M-Bars-

Norman Hyde Ace Bars-

Low Cafe Bars-

Superbars-

well, my bar saga goes like this.......

emgo classics, too high, a bit too much pullback, cut em too narrow. 25 bucks NABD

renthal 794 (yamaha yfz 450) too low, didnt even install them, just rested em in the trees, realized they were too far away/low, 80 bucks, returned em

fly racing steel atv bars, picked em up when i returned the renthal bars. for 18.99 i figured what the hell, maybe they'll be good....... theyre PERFECT. bam

3 pairs of bars, one day. done

Just got my black NH M Bars today, and slapped em right on with some new Napoleon bar end mirrors -

I love the bars! Kinda glad I didn't go with the Hyde Ace bars that I originally had decided upon - I think those would've been too drastic, and most likely would've hit the tank too -

Has anyone here fitted the western bars? I am looking to keep having an upright riding position.

To be honest, all of the numbers listed with each type of handlebar throw me for a bit of a loop. Could anyone help me understand how all of those numbers translate to riding position, and what the stock would be? (2012 t100)

It seems that there may also be a few different bar setups that may work for what I am looking for. I have been through this thread, and while I have found it super informative, I am still unsure. Low bars are definitely not for me :)

Thanks!!

thought i'd share my bar changes since october- christmas brought some lsl sport tourer bars which i had intended to mount upside down like the lsl 2010 tridays bike but actually went with them right way up- the switch gear and tank badge weren't co existing too well....
first was renthal ultra low copies- nice but to wide for my tastes...

then ace bars....love them wanted a more cafe racer clip on feel.....

...but still not perfect- wanted aggresive stance but the ace bars didn't feel right with the mid controls- try a £30 bar before £300 rearsets!!! so picked up a renthal drag bar cheap- nice but my picky tastes felt the clearance was too tight on the tank and as it was alloy- felt alot of flex.....

which leads us to the current set up- lsl sports tourer- so far so good!!!!

HI Johnnycactus,
I like those lsl sports tourer bars. Still struggling for months for what to choose for my black bonneville 2004
As I make long tours for many days I can't have a too sporty position that puts too much pressure on my wrists .What is your experience ?
BTW what headlight did you install on ( the black one on your last picture?)

hi there,
so far i'm really liking the lsl sports tourer bars- they still have a slightly aggressive stance but not as extreme as the ace bars- although i am used to clip on postions the mid controls just didn't seem to fit right for me- the sports tourer bars feel perfect and are comfertable for long riding.

part of me does wish i could have made them work flipping them but on the whole i'm happy.

the headlight is the lsl clubman- 6.5" so slightly smaller than stock- i had to make up spacers for now whilst i still have the original headlight brackets. it's a bit of a squeeze getting all the wiring in but it does work!

JC, your current bars looks sweet. I think I went to the correct LSL site but there was so much German I freaked out and bailed.... couldn't find nuttin' due to my lack of German skills.:)

over the last 42 years I've gone from bike to bike , lately on a v strom suzy, now thinking of going back to triumph, I've always had trouble getting the right bend on the bars, suzy like triumph tend to position the bar clamps so they need much more pull back , and often the bars end up angled so as to be a pain in the wrist, if I go back to triumph I'll get some bar backs or rox pivoting risers and low MX bars for adjustability . Work great on the strom , but the look may not be so good on triumph .

Something like Bellacorse Highlanders for '12 Bonnie SE?

well, it took all day today, and all day a few weeks ago, but i ran thru this thread twice. the stock bars, as with some, are killing my wrists. i go numb after 10 min or so, its not fun. really like the style of the Highlanders, as in this post...

anyone know where i could source something similar with cables for delivery to Canada? please feel free to link me to death...

was in contact with Mike @ Bellacorse sales to see if they have anything for my bike, a big no :(

I have just fitted some western bars to my Bonnie........not finished the install yet, as work is getting in the way. Tested the scrambler, and the standard re-routed throttle cables fit. When I have it all finished, I'll make a definitive what you need list for both....and pictures.
