I recently ordered a Triumph Steve McQueen SE T100.
http://www.triumphmotorcycles.com/motorcycles/range/classics/bonneville/special/10238
Come May/June they should start arriving at the Dealers.
1,100 of the Steve McQueen SE's will be manufactured, a little over 300 (?) will be imported to the U.S. Each will have a plaque between the handlebar with an identifing number (1/1,100 etc.).
I thought it would be interesting to keep track of as many Triumph Steve McQueen SE T100's as possible.
When you receive your Steve McQueen T100 check in with your special identifing number, Country & State.
And don't forget to post pictures of your new Triumph Steve McQueen SE! :)

Great pics of touring "old school"...just the basics, keeping it simple. Good for you and thanks for posting.
BTW, Triumph is doing a survey of new owners. One question is "what would I change on the bike". My first answer is get rid of the damn ugly tank seam. Second, put metal fenders back on the bikes.

Happy New Year FC (& all) ! I've done around 800 miles todate, the weather was not kind in 2012, lets hope its better this year.

You are always welcome to head to North Lancs for a rideout, here's a thought - 24th March was Steve McQueen's Birthday (according to Wikipedia) and we could organise the inaugral UK memorial run - at least there would be the two of us (if it works with your diary) and who know's perhaps more ?

There is also this date for the diary !

My #973 finally arrived a month ago and it's been great riding her in this fantastic Hawaii weather. It surprises my how many people identify the bike with the Great Escape without really knowing that its a limited edition bike.

After searching for a month, I bought mine from Frontline Motorsports in Virginia sight-unseen, and had her shipped by Federal Motorcycle Shipping. It arrived without a scratch and only 1 mile on the odometer. I was not disappointed with my purchase.

I would really like to take my wife riding but am having problems identifying what I really need for footpeg mounts. The local Triumph dealership wants $250 for the parts. Anybody found a cheaper way to install rear footpegs?

How soon is now? We are all hanging by our carbs here!!!

Just kidding. Just really really want to see that hot piece of bike in all its beauty.

By the way, can you tell us more about the cost and the modifications? The added weight sure needs to be balanced properly right?

Cheers!

Marco.
