I play on another website thread that is totally dedicated to posting Cool looking bikes. In fact I ended up playing bikes-on-line while I was looking for ideas on how to soup-up my GS850-Shaftie (Suzi, not BeeEm). Anyway, I never gave up. I just got my mits on these images and thought you RATS might appreciate them too. I am not a twin fan, or a scrambler fan, or a wafer thin seat fan, but this ROCKS! Dig the FCR's. Then I thought to label the thread as I did so that you might post your favourite bike images in the future too.

Best 'til last. Keihin and CNC beauty.

My first bike before I could legally get a bike license was a Suzi 250 X6 Hustler. It was in a basket and I managed to hobble together the parts and run it to the ground. I still occasionally search for that 6th gear on my T120. Since that time, I have walked by many Japanese restaurants, looked through the window, but never ate at one. Here are some of those restaurants. Bon Apetite, or should I say "itadakimasu":

I would suggest to the owner of this bike that he remove those boiler socks from his pipes and paint his pipes with flat black stove paint.

This is the best angle of this 1000

I like this front end.

For the record, Boldor, the bikes score 0/4 for me. I would never want to own a Japanese bike (again). They do not satisfy me. I posted these because I like certain things about the way they look (sometimes only parts of them). If other people like them or dislike them, that's okay by me too. If I went by the title of thread alone I don't think I would post very often. I own a 40 year old bike because I haven't come across one that "blows me away" quite like the one I am attached to. Bike show this weekend though. We'll see. ;)

You may have brought me to a realisation there Trumpet. The last two bikes I have bought were not Japanese. I have not yearned for a rice cooker since. Hmmmm. Interesting.

To me, since the invasion of the Japanese power bikes (mass produced utilitarian machines on steroids) I have rejected bikes if based solely on ability to beat another bike in its class. Bikes have to have style and, for me, very few (any make) actually do. The Italians have always had style and the Brits have had some stars. If the Americans could shake their addiction with a "lifestyle" they could probably be up there too with some fresh ideas and retooling (they can afford it). That said, the world is changing due mostly because of the internet. Design and genuine style ideas are starting to develop in Japan and elsewhere where needed. I think the Japanese have a chance to really "blow your hair back" in the next 10 years. We'll see.

This Hustler thinks it has "style" but like most bikes from the past it's actually nostalgia that makes me look at it twice and nothing more.

I am pretty moody Trumpet, so I go through phases. I had a long time romance with the 80's Jap inline four, a brief in-between phase with the Speed Triple which I might very well return to, but at present I am totally immersed in ultra logical, uber functional, almost ugly, Austrian technology.

I already broke mine - 1 stack and 2 falls already. I do polish it - too often:Naughty but my little LC4 had her cherry well and truly popped during the run in period. She cops a regular flogging and is obliged to love it.
