Tag O Rama (Photo-Tag)

ANY TIGER CAN PLAY!! And, if your Tiger is in the shop you're more than welcome to participate with whatever motorcycle you've got.

First person to get the tag gets to post the new target theme. Post a picture of your Tiger with the LAST requested "tag" in the chain, then you get "control" and post a picture of your Tiger with a NEW target. The new tag must be generic enough and standard for anyone around the world to join in and play.

New time limit rule. The tag needs to be completed, start to finish within 48 hours. "Completed" meaning, old tag photo and the new challenge photo need to be posted within 48hours of each other. If the time limit is not met, the challenge will revert back to the old challenge photo. Additionally, 1) After 3 days, the person who made the challenge can post their own picture and pick another topic. (2) If a challenge is not met after 5 days a new topic is picked by the previous challenger winner. (3) If a pic is in dispute, it needs 3 yes votes to be accepted.

No stock photo's for the OLD TAG. You can use stock photo's for the challenge tag (new tag) though.

Challenge photos: Keep things simple in such a manor as to keep the game flowing as quickly as possible. Try not to use "specific" movable objects as they are tough to predict where they'll be at any given time. Again, think of a challenge that will keep the game moving, if they're tricky to duplicate the game will stall.

If someone has an issue with the difficulty of a tag please post here or PM me so I can make some adjustments.

Here is the first challenge. Your Tiger pictured with an industrial chimney.

Don't whine about snow, whine about finding a big boat in the desert! But I managed to find one, a strip club in Tucson called Raider's Reef. I think not having any sails is appropriate for a strip club!

The next challenge is your Tiger and an obscure musical instrument. Here's my Maggie and a bodhran, an Irish drum. It can't be a saxaphone or piano, it needs to be somethig like an alboka or nickelharpa!

Man, I've been dying to get in on this thread. Haven't been able to play with Ginger in three weeks due to being detained in LAX Concentration Camp. But, here's your darn dam. Had another one in mind that would have been an awesome pic (along with being in a town called "Hinckley") but without knobs on her I never would've gotten back out without a barge. :D

You got it. Lights should be on. while looking for one of the two constabularies in our one goat town, I mentioned to the wife that cruising Main St. a few times on one wheel would have them coming to me..... She is just no fun.

I sense that this tag isn't going anywhere fast with this new challenge....

I'll monitor this thread for a few days and see if there are any takers on this challenge. If not, we'll change it to something a little more attainable. Maybe players can chime in and let us know if they think they can pull this challenge off or not. I know I'm not close with any cops to pull this off and I have never seen a cop car randomly parked outside the station with its lights left on.

Also, tags really should not be with moveable objects like cars, bike, humans, animals or anything along those lines. I'll write it into the rules if need be.

Honestly, wasn't hard. I swung by the station and said "I have one of the oddest request you probably have had in a while." Just get a pic with a cruiser and we'll call it good..... Or do a few passes up Main street, as suggested. :D

I don't think its got anything to do with your challenge (as long as "light on" is excluded). I think its got more to do with the time of year. It's currently snowing here but it's supposed to be nice tomorrow and I'm planning on getting out on my Tiger as long as the roads clear up early enough. I'd leave your challenge up for a while longer.

Aw come on, get out and ride! That's why it's called an "adventure" bike! :D

Got a lot of funny looks this morning at 13f. Then, I go to my local parts place and an older guy comes in ranting about my supreme craziness, too cold, his is stored at 55f, I'm nuts, etc.

I ask "Um, what are you here doing?"

"Picking up parts for my sled."

All three parts guys busted out laughing.

OK, Here's two unusual cop cars taken this 60 degree Arizona December morning! They are a Pima County Sheriff's Office Prius and a PCSO Hummer. The next challenge is aimed at my Aussie mates, you need to have a pic of your Tiger and a Postie Bike. You can score extra fashion points (my rules) if they have the orange postal service bags! Others can use a regular old Honda CT110 if they must!

Well, it's little, it's orange, it's old, and it's for sale as a door stop, but does the 1985 XL80S in this pic count? Doesn't matter if it doesn't fit the criteria, but it's funny you'd offer up this challenge, considering I just took this picture an hour ago while putting the Man Cave in "winter storage" mode to regain a little room. The CRF and KTM go in special carriers that I put on a 4' tall rack in the back of The Cave. I love having my own forklift!

The little XL moved on to the back shed. I had picked it up as a resto project about 5 years ago after someone said "We rebuilt the motor, but can't make it run." After dealing with non-adjusted points, 5mm valve lash (no, I didn't leave out a decimal), 25 degree timing chain (that is stretched beyond the tensioners capability) issue, a choke plate 2mm too large that was formed into a taco when it was tightened down, and almost 1/8" of rod slap, she now sits in limbo while I decide whether or not to make it into a lawn ornament, put a "free" sign on it, or hit ebay. :-(

Do you really think someone on here is going to get a photo opportunity with one of those specific bikes? I had mentioned earlier that mobile objects really shouldn't be used for tags. They're difficult to catch sitting still at times. Again, we'll give it a little while to see of there are takers. Maybe players can chime in and see if this challenge is even possible for them.

The whole game will grind to a halt with these obscure challenges in the middle of the off season. The challenges are supposed to be things that just about anyone can go out and get. That is how the game keeps moving. Once things get obscure players drop like flies. I'm done trying to get that point across. If this obscure challenge is still here in the spring we'll figure something else out.

Leave it as it is and we'll see how long the game sits for. Maybe TheHaymaker has something up his sleeve...

I don't think I've ever even seen one of those specific bikes so I know I won't be getting it.

You kids don't stop bickering and I'm gonna turn this car around!

I mean, seriously. IT'S A GAME! His challenge for the CT was no tougher than one of the other challenges for a tunnel. Any idea how many tunnels are in Maine? I know of only one, and you have to hit it when the Fair is in town.... Kinda tough to get a bike next to it when it's inundated with kids covered in cotton candy and parents looking like they are applying for sideshow jobs. BUT, did I care? Nope..... It's a game.

My two cents, maybe it's worthless as I do understand I am a newcomer here, but come on.

I guess TheHaymaker has a CT110 in mind then. I'm looking forward to seeing it soon.

There are plenty of tunnels around. People just need to do some Googling and then ride to them. It's difficult to Google where you can get a photo with an old specific moped and not be banging on an owners front door begging for a photo with his moped in the garage. Not everyone is going to have access to every challenge but the odds need to at least be high that "someone" can find it.

Again, we'll give it some time and see where this goes. So far only one person has shown interest in this moped challenge.
