Now Is A Good Time To Inspect Your Camping Gear...

My upcoming 3 week road trip will have me camping as well as staying with friends and family and a few motels along my way. Even though I cleaned and checked over my camp gear last Fall, I feel it's a good idea to do it before just throwing it on your bike and heading off in the upcoming riding season.

I went through everything... set up my tent, made sure I have all my tent pegs and extras, inflated my Big Agnes air mattress, checked my stove, and just made sure I had everything. I have had the same tent, sleeping bag, air mattress, etc. for a good number of years and it is in great shape and will continue to provide me good service. The past 2 years I have camped 30 days each year in varied conditions... if you take good care of your gear it will last a long time.

Of course I feel investing in quality gear is also a key factor as well. If you go on the cheap you can almost be guaranteed of having a failure in my opinion.

So if you are a moto camper like me now would be a good time to check out your gear...

Good idea!

I guess you haven't checked out camping in a hammock yet?

Truth. What do you do on a snowy May Thursday afternoon in Denver? Set up your tent of course.

That is funny MH.
Planning my never happened trip with the other two Geezers, the two little grandson's helped set up two tents outside in damp, rainy conditions. Lady of the house threatened to lock us out if we tried bring either in.

Showed her you post and picture. She said you were either much neater than us three or your lady never, ever went into the "boys room".
How did you get the okay?

Oh, I just put it up in the front room. I have tons of cred with SWMBO right now since I bought her an 03 Sprint that she's fallen in love with. I could probably get away with more haha
