I don't think any bike/car/truck/bus/did I miss anything? has been built with a positive ground since sometime in the late '60s! Please correct me if I am wrong. I would be truly shocked (pun intended  ) if an S4 was positive ground.

I have not seen a positive earth system since my T140 back in the 70's.

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
As pointed out the bike will be negative ground, but surely you just hook your tender to the battery terminals which are labelled + and - anyway, so question of the bike's grounding doesnt come up?

As an aside, I never leave the battery in the bike if hooking it to the tender for any great length of time - this is so I can keep an eye on the levels and if anythign should happen to the battery the bike will not be damaged in any way.
