it sounds like classic kawasaki type waterpump problem kawasaki uses the same type waterpump on some of there older designs and triumph uses the same vendor my 2001 tbird leaked so it was replaced then i started hearing about kawasaki having overheating issues and leaking pumps and said to myself hmhm sounds familar so i wrote to a consumers mag and low and behold the 1500 vulcon,s had the same thing shut down when they got hot (but these were efi models )but there is a temp. sensor which i think kills the ignition if the motor is running tooo hot ???? just a note i came across good luck hope this helps
