Jerry, in case you haven't looked, the plastic runs all the way under the engine on the Sprint ST. Where do you propose to put the brick/lump of wood?

Face it, roadside wheel removal is not a realistic option. I carry a tyre plug kit, a stripped down electric pump and, in case all else fails, my AA card. (Thats the Automobile Association - not the other one)

If you were on your own you could put the big rock on the pillion seat to keep the back down. If you had your girlfriend with you she could sit on the pillion seat until you returned from the gas station. That may take some time and she may want to go for a piss?
