Rebuilding my 1st Triumph 650. Motor # DU13668, makes it a 1965. The block and cylinder have provisions for pressure oiling the exhaust tappets? The parts catalog calls out the same tappet (70-3059) and the same tappet block (70-1477) how was the pressure oiling of the tappet accomplished?
If I want to change, I need to remove the E6348 metering jet (how?)replace it with the T989 hollow dowel, replace the exhaust tappet block with 70-5861 and while I'm at it replace the intake tappet block with 70-4676.
Change the exhaust tappet to 70-8895? Does this have the smaller 3/32" long flat on the stem? It is unradiused, or should I while I'm replacing things replace it with the 70-8801 radiused tappet. Change the intake to the 70-3059R.
Which pushrod tube do I now use, the 70-3646 or the 70-6000. Thanks :???:
