exhaust!!!

Im having trouble getting a straight answer about my exhaust. I have a couple of questions, can't I just take off the stock peashooters for it to be super loud? I mean I'v seen pictures of triumph's with pipes that are super short. But somebody said it would mess my bike up if I did that. So whats it going to be? to do or not to do?
Iv also checked out some pipes at specialtyspares.com called TT exhaust. They come short and straight and loud, but how hard is it to put them on and retune the carbs or rejet it?
Sombody please point me in the right direction. I can't stand how quiet these stock peashooters sound. I want short, taped up pipes that piss off the neighbors.

I hope that you don't live near me. More obnoxiously loud bikes and inconsiderate riders is just what we don't need.

Firstly, you posted your initial question to a thread totally unrelated to your question.
I am not surprised that you are having trouble getting an answer.

Secondly, your question shows that you have little to no knowledge of tuning or how an internal combustion engine works and would not be able to competently tune your bike after any exhaust modifications.

Put the tools down and step away from the bike.

Yo Eric, lighten up on the sound. You will want those ears when you get older.

You ought to look around and see what others have done and send them a private email (whatever it is called). They can help with the questions on materials and brands. The mufflers will probably cost you a bit.

You see, the carbs have only a limited ability to flow fuel (it's a ratio of the air and its density that needs a certain amount of fuel: air/fuel ratio). You can only go so far then run out of the ability to adjust your carbs to match. Then you will need new carbs.

An open exhaust will overwhelm your carbs. A modestly open set of pipes can be found. Go research the past posts in the Bonnie section. A little reading will go a long way.

Yersh! But there's loud and there's LOUD

I run the Triumph race can but I don't blast through villages in 1st gear

Too loud and you just attract attention from the boys in blue and that's when they spot...
