Suggestions for Bin

Hi,

I just got a Bonneville and would like to have a way to store gear/an extra helmet. However, the hard saddlebags are bit pricey for my budget. Do you have any suggestions for hard bins in the back that would look cool on this bike? Price and difficulty mounting of course a consideration.

Thanks,
Amanda

I've never seen a "top box" on a bonnie before... and typically luggage solutions are pretty expensive. There are these: http://newbonneville.com/html/luggage.html ... but that is quite a price including the rails.

For an extra helmet, you can buy a cargo net to strap one down to the back of your seat (plenty of room for that).

Great Bay Motorcycles has some good products available (http://www.greatbaymotorcycles.com/c...?id=Bonneville), but again, market price is what it is and they are not "hard" as you are looking for.

Depending on what you need, a tank bag might solve some of your storage issues. Good luck!

When I have to carry an extra helmet, I strap it on the sissy bar. This admittedly is not a good solution, but it works for occasional use.

The cargo net idea is better, as long as the helmet is really secure and not at risk of slipping out.
