I've just moved to a new 04 Daytona 955 after 8 happy years on a Sprint. It's brilliant apart from a slight clunk from under the front of the fuel tank at 1800 rpm which continues into a background vibe through to mid revs. As the engine slows through 200 rpm the noise occurrs again. It sounds like something rotating, making the mechanical clunk at the lower revs. At 500 mile service I asked the dealer to check it but there were 3 mechanics there who all said 'it's the Air Valve' I had been to another dealer at about 200 miles and the mechanic there was happy with the sound of the engine.

It spoils the bike but has got no worse.

Can anyone confirn their story or should I get it fixed. :hammer:
