Repair pricing

I just had my 70 tr6c w/ a 66 t120tt with a boyer system worked on and all in all it came out being $427 and change with labor, parts and tax. There was some electrical work done to remedy a brake light problem (maybe new switches but I haven't seen the invoice yet) also the carbs were rejetted and a new sealed battery was installed as well. I am new to older triumphs and biking in general. Does this seem pricey or should I just get used to this kind of thing.

Were you satisfied with the work? Could you afford it? If yes and yes, then it was worth it.

I just paid US$439 to have two new tires (Pirelli Sport Demons) and tubes installed and balanced, and have the spokes checked and the wheels checked for trueness.

It was worth it to me, seemed expensive to other people. The mechanic has an excellent reputation, restores old British bikes, and has been doing this work for a long time, in addition to being a nice guy. I'm satisfied.
