HELP Please - Tiger wont start

The intermittent problem when starting the bike is now terminal. Thumb starter and the relay clicks in, lights if on go out. Clutch switch ok and have a neutral light.
Checked the voltage across the solenoid and only get 10v the solenoid works fine off the bike powered by the battery only.
So, where`s the 2v gone.
Thanx in advance

Pete

Sounds like a cracked solder joint or sulfation in the cells of the battery (Has it gone completely flat at all).
You'll get 12V with a meter but as soon as you try to draw any serious current, internal resistance robs you of the other 2V

The battery`s a new one, charged is 13.2v and with messing around gets down to about 12.6v.
Checked the voltage at the start button and thats 11v.

Cheers

Sounds like it could be a dry joint,or perhaps a short,Check the Earth cable at both ends,as this is a common problem ie Not a good enough earth,Try putting another cable from the earth to an engine mounting. Good luck. P.S If the bike is alarmed it may have gone faulty.

Earth cable checks out ok, and the bikes not alarmed. Going round in circles at the mo, but hey ho im sure it will come good.

Edit - May have found the problem, bad joint on a lead on the outgoing cluch switch connector.

Edit again - Now sorted
