O2 sensors

Hello. My memory is failing! Question. Have FI'ed Triumphs always been closed-loop systems, or were the early years of FI open-loop systems. I "thought" they morphed to a closed-loop system in the late 90's/early 00's....

Thanks!

Open loop, no O2 sensors. My '01 has an open loop system.

Speed Triple ('97-'98) & Tiger had injected 885 motors for a couple years, but all the other 885s were carbureted. No clue on those.

With the 955s, though, it's a pretty simple story. '97-'01 first-generation 955 motors had an open loop FI system. When the motor was redesigned for '02, injection moved to closed loop.

Cheers, HTH,
-Kit

I've got to question the transition date a little bit. My '01 Tiger is closed-loop.

HUh. I thought it was a pretty cut & dried thing, but I guess not. Was the '01 Tiger the 1st closed-loop bike? '01 is the year the Tiger got bumped to 955, right?

Cheers,
-Kit
