Hello, All,
I removed my fuel tank on my 2001 Legend yesterday and a question came up from less than clear diagrams and instructions:
The manual talks about removing two hoses, one fuel supply hose to the petcock and something called a "fuel tank breather hose". My bike only has the one fuel supply hose on the tank. Is the breather hose the one that comes off the crossover tube on the carbs? Or was there some difference between models or model years?
Thanks,
Paul null[list]

If you look to the bottom rear of the tank, on the left side, you will see a spigot (small metal tube) protruding from the bottom of the tank. That's where the breather hose attaches.
You should find that the hose runs down beside the airbox, so if you look around in that area you should find the hose end. Just push it on to the spigot and you're done.

Thanks, Slinky. Found the spigot, but the hose is MIA. Either they forgot to put it on at the factory (which is how it looks, since there is no sign of wear on the paint), or it fell completely off the bike.
Can you think of any reason why there needs to be a hose there? The bike runs fine without it.

Hi Paul
The hose needs to be there because it incorporates a roll-over valve, which is a good thing to have if the bike ever goes down.
Have a look on p. 2 of the shop scrapbook photo album for some photos of where it should be.
