I went to change the plugs in my 95 S3 and discovered the Grand Canyon of plug holes. Never seen anything quite like this. I can't get a regular socket down the hole because the hole is not big enough - I figured an 18mm was the right size. Is there a special Triumph socket for these plugs - something that has very thin walls to get down the very narrow hole. I have not tried any standard sockets yet - any ideas?

I ended up buying the triumph tool kit because the cheesy stamped metal socket in it seems to be the best for getting down in there.

It also has a foam rubber "washer" in it that grabs the plug and pulls it out.

Unfortunately I did not have a tool kit with the bike - I guess I need to find one

Hi,

You can buy the Triumph Spark Plug Socket on its own, as individual part number 2300107-T0301.

It is a good tool and I use it with my other bikes.

Hope this helps.
