I presently own a thunderbird, which I have had for 7 years. I would like to start touring with it & want to make a few changes to make it more suitable for long rides. Can any one help on where I could get the seat re-moulded and perhaps brake & cluch peddle fitted forwards of their present position. Some people may suggest that I purchase an adventurer or similar, which I have looked into. The problem is that I love my Thunderbird and don't want to lose it. Any advise???

Check "Hinkley Classic Triples" under "Classics and Cruisers" under the menu to the left. There are threads on seat modifications and forward controls in that forum. For example:
