Over Gapped Plugs?

So I went to go check the gap on my new plugs and the crappy chrome plated .99c gap tool got stuck and I ended up over gapping the plug. Could I just pull the center piece out alittle with some plyers and be fine? Or is the plug toast?

Do not do anything to the center electrode, you will destroy the spark plug. You can bend the ground electrode (that comes up from the tread on the plug) to adjust the gap.

In the past I'd just tap it gently on a hard surface until it came back into spec. On my bike though, I'd probably just get another new one.

You shouldn't be allowed to own plyers.

new plugs should only be £3 or $30 (with the conversion rate...). Personally I'd buy new if you're unsure. When you do get, say, DPR8EA-9 which I think is standard for an early speed triple the first number is the heat range of the plug and the last number is the gap - the above plug has 0.9mm clearance. Hope that helps.
