Cooeee Mr London,

Faced with a near-continuous stream of similar basic electrical questions such as yours, I knocked out a Beginner's Guide to Basic Electrics, aimed specifically at bikers.

Here's the link - the Guide is posted on a Brit bike site called Ridersite. This link is for Part One of the guide, there are around a dozen parts, just read through them all and see if the info helps at all.

Try disconnecting the turn signal and brake light wiring connectors, install new fuse, connect turn signal, did fuse blow? if so look for chaffing in wiring, did you check the light sockets by removing the bulbs? Anyway you get the idea...
