Hi all, happy new year!

I have a problem!! And am in need of a solution to it....

I have the Datatool Veto Evo alarm fitted to the bike, and it has gone to pot. I have read the datatool website reference 'despiking' the alarm, and have carried out this procedure, to no avail. I am now faced with removing the alarm.

Following the Datatool installation guide ive got (the bike was already fitted with the alarm when i got it, but ive got a plethora of paperwork) it is easy as removing the 12 pin connector, and replacing the original end block on the wiring (a bridging block, looping the relevant wires in the manner they ought to be looped in)

HOWEVER!! when the damned alarm is fitted, in order to register it, the block has to be returned with the paperwork in order to do this. Great, as it helps prevent insurance scams, etc... I guess.

NOT GOOD when the alarm is broke, you want to get rid of it, and might want to take the bike racing (alarm/immobilisers must not be fitted for racing..it's too dodgy)

Has anyone got a cheap solution, or ideally even the bridging block in question spare (or even the bridging details..which connection to which connection?), maybe on a crashed TT600 that wasnt fitted with the Alarm? My bike is a 2000 model TT600. Currently this is preventing me riding the bike, and from getting the work done on the fuel line connectors (cant get the bike to the dealers, see)

A bit of a cry for help, I guess!!!!

Many thanks in advance for any light or help that can be shed on the problem!

I don't see why you couldn't put jumpers between the appropriate pins. What am I missing? Does that alarm wiring diagram explain what input wire goes to what output wire? In a pinch, you could also trace the wiring on a diagram for the whole bike and bypass the connector, but that is a bit of a hatchet job.

Take the plug (connector) and measure with an ohm meter the pins connections and make one yourself.

If I remember correctly it has only a few wires it shorts and the connector it self should be found in a good (car)electronics shop or at youir dealer.

success

I cant put jumpers between as there is no wiring diagram
