Question D1200 stumbling out of Idle

Trying to sort out a recently aquired 96 Daytona 1200. The bike oringally had clogged
jets and would not run more than 2 miles before stopping. Carbs were found to have rust from the tank clogging the jets. Carbs cleaned, tank flushed, inline fuel filters installed.
Can ride the bike, but there is a very noticable stumble or stalling from 1500-2000 rpm, which makes starting from a stop a real challenge. Above 2000rpm the bike takes off. Im looking at a new air filter, carb rubbers, and taking the carbs off again for another cleaning. Would cyncing the carbs help? Im at a loss.

Thanks

pilot circuit still clogged

I am very sure that the pilot circuit is still clogged. after the rust did you use Kreem in the tank if not, if there is any tank rusting you will have problems from now on. you really need to detail strip the carbs. and clean the pilot circuit carefully, go to the welding shop and get a torch tip cleaner for the small holes and lots of cleaner and compressed air, take your time and really clean everything from both ends, flush with cleaner blow out repeat several times in both directions. this includes all the small holes in the emulsion tubes etc. also sometimes after a rust problem the needle, emulsion tube, and main get worn and cause problems.

Did you check the coils? the 1200 daytona is notorious for bad coils,I thought I had carb problems also at idle to 3000 rpm. but it was the coils.
