I have a Kawasaki vacuum tap on mine. There are a whole load of bikes that use fuel taps with the same bolt pattern.

Hey Slnky,

Thanks !Thats just the kind of response I was looking for.

How does your Kawasaki tap compare to the Triumph as far as price and performance ?

Price wise, I picked it up on ebay for about £5, that's about $8US

Performance wise, it's a whole lot better. No leaks for one thing, and it's vacuum operated so I don't have to switch it on & off.

And when I ran out of main and switched to reserve, the Triumph tap seemed to take forever to refill the carbs.

Slinky,
My tap leaks as well. Is there a model number for the Kawasaki tap? When you purchased it on Ebay, how did you know that it would fit?

I knew it would fit because I already had one on my Kawa 750.

There are a lot of taps that have the same fitting, two 6mm holes 34mm apart.

The part # is 51023-1175. They retail for about $70 new.

You run a line from the tap to one of the vacuum take-offs. Each carb has a vacuum connector, covered by a blanking cap.

Slinky,

I ordered a Kawasaki tap yesterday. Is there any special adaptor or seal needed to connect the tap to the fuel tank? There doesn't appear to be one by looking at your picture. Can you confirm?

Thanks.
