How do you clean your chain and what product do you use? Triumph manual recommends "paraffin"; isn't that a wax? Obviously a product is needed that cleans the dirt and grime but won't damage the o-rings.

I'm just back into bikes after nine years and not up on the latest products, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dave, pariffin is the british term for what we call kerosene. Personally, I use a product from a local dealer called Sludge Away, distributed by Moose products. The kit comes with a little box, with brushes inside, that goes around the chain, and you fill it with this pink liquid. All you do is rotate the rear tire and it scrubs the chain, then rinse off with water. Works great.

I use WD40, a rag, and about 15 minutes of scrubbing.

I cleaned my chain yesterday, for the first time ever..

A rag soaked in white spirit did the trick quickly & easily.
My Scottoiler takes care of the lubing.
