I've been told by a friend that the 95 S3's have a 6 speed box but it is modified to only be a 5 speed but can be changed back. Is he talking rubbish or can it be done? :???:

Well that is true for the Thunderbirds etc. so it could well be true for the Speed Triples.

But it's not easy (or cheap..)

Any idea how and how much. My bike is in for the crankshaft to be repaired and also the top 2 gears seem to be slipping into "neutral" so I might see about getting it done at the same time the gearbox is being looked at.
