Well, I'm kind of a dumb ass and while lubing my chain I got lube all over my back tire. In retrospect I should have held a piece of paper or something between my chain and back tire but you know what they say, hind sight is 20/20. so that being said I was wondering if anyone out there has any good tips on how to get the lube off my tire.

Soap, water, & elbow grease will do it. So will asphalt, as long as you're real careful. :-D

(Yes, the paper is a good idea!)

Cheers,

Yeah, I thought about the asphalt thing but it's kinda near the edges and leaning my bike that far over with anything with "lube" in the title stuck to it seems like kind of a bad idea... but I'll work on the soap and water thing

I just used Gunk engine cleaned on a rag to clean chain wax off my rims and it worked great. It's water soluable to so you can rinse residue off with water

I used the gunk today and the results were awesome, just sprayed it on my tire, let it sit for 10 min. and rinsed it with the hose and all the lube is gone, thanks for the tip.
