OK here is the deal. I have a 99 S3.When I turn the key on the oil light comes on, the engine light, the netural light and the hi beam light comes on but the headlighs don't and the bike won't start. When you press the starter button nothing happens. If I take the relay out for the lights th bike will start. I went to the shop today and bought a new relay, but tonite it started doing th same thing. Any ideas?????

since you say the problem is connected to the headlight start there. there are alot of wires in the headlight housing. i hooked up extra lights to one of the headlight wires, i used poor gauge wire the first time
that bad wire of mine melted a couple of wires in the headlight assembly (replaced). grounding my system. another place to look is in the fuse box for loose fuses.

Nope it turned out it was the ground connector (earth block). A dealer in Mississippi said that they replaced it under recall but it was the original one.
