Just installed a factory pro kit 42.5 pilot and 97.5 mains needles set at two from the top, fuel screw at 2 turns. drilled out stock pipes and air box, runs great a low rpms but i cant not get passed 6k rpms bogs ( cuts out) out for lack of better description

my first try was 42.5 and 100 mains about the same results

I don't know anything bout T-Birds (have a Thrux) but here's my two cents

Sounds like it might be too rich.. What was the stock main jet size ?

Drilling pipes & airbox (still have stock filter ?) probably wouldn't require a huge increase in main jet size.

I think I'd go back to stock main & then go up 1 size at a time until performance fell off.

High rpm bog is definitely too rich. Go down in size until the engine does not bog when you open the throttle quickly at 6,000 rpm in final gear, then go down one more size.

Jeff,
I just wonder, can you get the rpms over 6000 in lower gears (3rd or 4th)? I don't have a solution, sorry, but if that's the case I wold have a lead for the problem on my Trophy (see the thread for can't get above 110). So it would narrow it down a bit while searching for a solution to the problem on my bike.

Todd at Team Triumph help me out . with drill out stock pipes and k/n air filter 6 1-1/2 holes in the back of the air box we needed a larger main so here finished stats
130 main 42.5 pilot 2 from the top on the needle about 2 turns on fuel screw = WOW hang on
