will a cush drive work if reversed?

I'm looking at putting SV650 wheels on my bonnie, but they are left side drive while the bonnie is right side drive.
If I flip the wheel around the other direction, will the cush drive still work? thanks!

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
I dont know about the sv650 but it would work with a triumph cush drive, I would imagine the same would be true of the sv

Or are the mounting holes only on one side?

I'm sure some spacing work will be required...but if the wheel is turned around everything will be on the correct side.
